Fall Tournaments

Tournaments are a great way to improve your skills, form stronger bonds with teammates and make new friends. More importantly, they are a ton of fun! Tournaments are what get a lot of players hooked on the sport and community. There are a few in Vancouver, but several occur in other ultimate communities around the province and region.

Here’s a list of tourneys for Fall 2015. If you are the organizer of a tournament you’d like to be included in this article, get in touch with our Marketing Manager.


Manzanita Beach Goaltimate

Dates

Oct 3-4, 8:30 am - 1 pm (Due to tides)

Location

Manzanita, Oregon -  Nehalem State Park/Manzanita Beach

Format

Teams of 8,  gender ratio 3/1

Info

1st Annual Beach Goaltie Tournament. Nehalem State Park is adjacent to the beach.
Camping  - reserve camping before you arrive to ensure your site!  If you are camping, you need to have a reservation before arrival (day use parking fee included) OR pay a day use parking fee  Please do not hassle the park rangers about paying the parking pass fee if you will not be camping; we are required to do this for the use of the park facilities and beach. They would probably appreciate a beer if you have any extra :-)  Be Nice! 
If you sign up as a free agent, please note that you will be responsible for finding your way onto an existing team or creating your own free agents

VUL Turkey Tourney

Co-ed fun one-day tournament.

Info

There are no VUL league games on Thanksgiving weekend, but we do have the Turkey Tourney! Burn off the holiday calories you're about to ingest with this fun one-day event. Includes a BBQ and athletic therapy services provided by Insync Physio.

Pumpkin Pull

Dates

October 24 - 25 8:30am - 4:30pm

Location

Landsdowne Middle School in Victoria, BC

Format

7 on 7.  4-3 (4 guys, 3 ladies) can be played as 3-4 (3 guys, 4 ladies if opposing team has 6 or more active women). A and B divisions are offered.

Info

Pumpkin Pull is Victoria's annual Ultimate Tournament.  As the name suggests this tournament revolves around the Halloween theme.  Costumes and spirit are strongly encouraged which makes for a great tournament on many fronts!  

Registration

The team fees will be $700/team.  If you do not have a VUPS account, you will need to sign up for one.  There will be maximum of 22 teams so sign up early!
