The Vancouver Ultimate League (VUL) and Strange Fellows Brewing are excited to announce a partnership starting on May 1, 2017.
Strange Fellows Brewing is a popular East Vancouver craft brewery that goes beyond the ordinary to celebrate that which is strange and extraordinary. Started by two former ultimate players, Iain Hill and Aaron Jonckheere, their beers are inspired by the creativity found on the West Coast and the tradition of the Old World.
Strange Fellows Brewing is home to a tasting room that is constantly voted as one of the best in the city. There you can have a glass or flight of beer, fill your growlers, buy special releases of packaged product, and enjoy the latest installation at the Charles Clark Art Gallery.
The VUL is the largest ultimate league in the world, with more than 5300 members, many who are craft beer drinkers and self-admittedly strange in their own special way.
As a VUL member, here’s how this partnership will make your life better:)
VUL Member Discounts
VUL members now have several means to secure excellent beer at great value!
- 15% discount on growler fills all the time!
- 15% off Strange Fellows beer at participating VUL Clubhouses.
- 15% off when visiting the Strange Fellows tasting room from Monday-Thursday.
Team Sponsorship Program
VUL teams can apply for partial beer sponsorship through the Strange Fellows Sponsorship Program. Each team can apply for a maximum of $450 of beer, and would pay 50% of the total amount ($225 in this example). Read more on the partner page.
Your team could win a Strange Fellows prize package at the end of Summer League… Every division has a draw, which the VUL does instead of awarding a prize to the top team in each division. Your team can earn extra entries into the draw throughout the summer by doing things like volunteering with the VUL, having a female and a male captain, having a Rules guru, and not having any 'poor' start times.

It’s going to be a beery good year!
