VUL welcomes Pratik Garud as the new Youth Programs Manager

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Pratik Garud to the role of Youth Programs Manager for the VUL effective, April 11, 2023.

A graduate of the Master of Business (Sport Management) from Deakin University, Pratik's managerial experience includes working as a Sports Development Officer with the Melbourne Ice in the Australian Ice Hockey League, as a Marketing and Communications Consultant with Western State Sports Management, and most recently worked with the Sports Authority of India as one of their lead Research Officers. Pratik is a former Mechanical Engineer and a certified youth soccer coach & referee.

Pratik is replacing William Arlotta. The growth of the VUL youth programs and clubs led to the association moving the Youth Programs Manager position from part-time to full-time. This change necessitated a change in personnel as William has other full-time employment. It is important to note that William has played an essential role in the evolution of our programs. While he is stepping down from this position to ensure the VUL has the bandwidth necessary to support all of our youth programs and clubs, he is not stepping away from youth Ultimate having agreed to remain involved as an advisor to our community and being elected to the BC Ultimate Board of Directors.
