The following principles apply to the personally identifying information we require that you provide. "Personally identifying information" is information that individually identifies you, such as your name, physical address or email address.
Participation in League events and use of VUL services such as the Forum and Matchmaker require you to register as a VUL member. Typically, information gathered for this purpose is necessary to complete the required waiver for league play. This information is crucial for communication from the VUL to its members and between members themselves. Misrepersentation of your identity for the VUL waiver constitutes a violation of the waiver. The VUL reserves the right to purge the records of members who purposely submit bogus data.
The VUL asks that you provide demographic information as a way to accurately chart the growth and change in the league population in order to both offer better services and utilize this information to secure improved facilities (eg fields), grants and potential sponsorship. Any accurate information provided will be kept completely confidential - only 'blind' demographic data will be utilized in pursuing the goals of the league.
The VUL will not rent or sell your personally identifying information to other companies or individuals. We may share aggregated information compiled from the member profile information you provide.
The VUL takes appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. We restrict access to your personally identifying information to employees who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services.
Updating your information
The VUL provides forms for updating and correcting your personally identifying information.
