Are you interested in learning more about your own cardiovascular health while also helping to advance the field of Sports Cardiology?
The sub-specialty of ‘Sports Cardiology’ is a rapidly developing area of medicine. At SCBC we are striving to understand the cardiovascular effects of regular exercise and define its benefits and risks so that safe guidance can be provided to all individuals engaging in sports and/or physical activity.
Here at SCBC, we are currently in the process of recruiting participants for a new study that we conducting at the UBC Hospital Center for Cardiovascular Excellence. The study is entitled: Hypertensive Response to Exercise and Atrial Arrhythmia (HRE Study for short).
This study is investigating the hypertensive response to exercise (HRE) and its link to atrial arrhythmias. We are currently recruiting participants that meet the following criteria:
1) >18 years of age
2) No previous diagnosis of resting hypertension or atrial arrhythmias
