The U-17 Field Hockey team donated their spare gear to develop the sport in Hermosillo, Mexico.

"The Canadians ended up losing in the bronze medal game of the tournament. However the team will long be remembered as big winners in the community as they showed that sport is about far more than just results. It is about working together to become better people both on and off the pitch."

That's really great!

I sense there's a lot of opportunity for corporations to get their name associated with news items
like this in all sorts of amateur sports, to the benefit of the teams and to the local communities.

Imagine if each time Team Canada plays overseas, they got brand new gear to replace that
which they donate to local Right to Play, or similar charities.
