Last week in my game, me and my defender were waiting for the disc to come down and as it was I jumped over my check (people say I have a nice vertical) and caught it, but in doing so we made contact.
"All players have the right to the space immediately above them. Thus, a player cannot prevent an opponent from making an attempt on a pass by reaching over an opponent. Should contact occur before the outcome of the play is determined, it is a foul on the player restricting the vertical space."
My defender called a foul saying that he had the right to the disc, but I was over top of the disc at the same time. Was he right in calling the foul?
