Join us for Season’s Sunset — a new wrap-up to the summer season! Join us for a casual 5v5 hat tournament, food trucks, and a junior awards ceremony! Reconnect with friends from across the VUL and celebrate the incredible season we've seen this year.
Register for placement on a team with up to one friend! We'll do our best to build balanced teams. Players from the VUL club team with the most representation at this event will get free food from our food trucks!
Tournament Information
- Date: August 30, 2025 1:00pm–7:00pm
- Location: Winona Park (South Vancouver)
- Format: 5v5 Hat Tournament
- Divisions: Junior Open and Junior Women’s
- Age: All players should be in high school, from age 13 to 18 years (grade 8-12) as of December 31st the ongoing year.
- Inclusivity: All players are welcome, including LGBTQ2+ and transgender.
Gameplay
This is a one-day tournament with round-robin and playoffs. USAU 2024–2025 Rules of Ultimate apply. Full tournament rules coming soon.

Event Notes
| Fields | Please keep our fields clean, and dispose of any waste or recyclables at recycling stations on sidelines. |
| Parking | Please considering carpooling or taking transit to minimize our tournament's carbon footprint. Limited parking is available around the park. The park is a 10-minute walk from Marine Drive Station. |
| Washrooms | Indoor washrooms available at the field house. |
| Food | Food trucks will be on site from 3:00pm–7:00pm. Cash, credit, or debit is accepted. |
| Water | Cold water filling stations can be found near Tournament Central and the field house. |
| First Aid | SportMedBC will be on-site to provide first-aid and taping services at tournament central from 1:00pm–6:00pm. Players wishing to be taped should bring their own athletic tape. |

At the end of the tournament, we'll be recognizing a few individuals for their efforts this summer:
- Coach of the year (across all VUL teams)
- Rookie of the year (across all VUL teams)
- Most Valuable Player (across all VUL teams)
- Most Spirited Player (for each VUL program)

| Players from non-VUL club programs | $20 |

How to Register
- Registration is required for all participants, including those from Canyon, Misfit, Reign, or Vortex program teams.
- Register and pay for fees online. We accept major credit card or Interac e-Transfer.
- If a player under 19 registers, their parents will be sent an email to complete parental consent forms.
