Nomination Window Now Open
Do you know a coach, volunteer or spirit ambassador who deserves to be recognized at the 2022 VUL Annual Awards and Hall of Fame Reception?
The VUL is seeking nominations for the following awards:
Laurel Atwood Stroppa and William Arthur Hawkins Spirit Member of the Year Award
The VUL annually awards the Spirit Member of the Year Award to two players who best exemplify Spirit of the Game in their conduct on and off the field. Spirit is integral to ultimate and the VUL.
Selection Criteria:
- Must be a member in good standing of the Vancouver Ultimate League Society;
- Has participated in a VUL program within the last 12 months; and
- Demonstrates adherence to the spirit of the game

Volunteer of the Year
The VUL will select one man and one woman matching member for this award.
Selection Criteria:
- Must be a member in good standing of the Vancouver Ultimate League Society; and
- The nominee must have made an identifiable and significant contribution to a specific VUL project or program.

Youth & Adult Coach of the Year
The VUL will select a Youth Coach of the Year and an Adult Coach of the Year.
Selection Criteria:
- Must be a member in good standing of the Vancouver Ultimate League Society; and
- Possess exemplary coaching abilities, including the abilities to uphold and exemplify the Spirit Of The Game and support their players to do the same; teach players to improve their skills and strategies for play; motivate, inspire, and hold the respect of their players; and demonstrate qualities such as integrity, respect for the game, respect for players, and good team management.

The 2022 VUL Annual Awards and Hall of Fame Dinner will be held on Saturday, October 29, at the Italian Culture Centre.
