The VUL is partnering with BC Ultimate to deliver the 2024 BC Coaching Conference and several NCCP Courses in March 2024.

 

BC Ultimate Coaching Conference  - March 2, 2024

Team culture is the foundation of the success of any team. As leaders, coaches need the skills and knowledge necessary to build a positive environment where every player can grow as a player and, more importantly, a person.

The 2024 BC Ultimate Coaching Conference focuses on providing Ultimate coaches with the practical tools and tactics they can utilize to establish a healthy team culture early in their competitive season.

Aboriginal Coach Modules - March 3, 2024

Designed to complement the NCCP certification process, the ACM is a professional development training tool for all coaches who coach Indigenous athletes.

NCCP Community Initiation Course - March 3, 2024

Designed for coaches 16+ years of age who work with new/entry level players, this workshop will focus on how to instruct the basic throws and rules of Ultimate. The role of the coach, planning practices, ethical issues around coaching and the needs of the athletes, will also be covered in this 1-day workshop that takes place both in the classroom and on the field or gym.

Woman-Matching NCCP Comp Intro Coaching Clinic - March 23 & 24, 2024

Woman-matching players interested in pursuing their coaching certification can kick-start their coaching career by attending this free two-day NCCP Ultimate Competition – Introduction Clinic offered by BC Ultimate. This an excellent opportunity to start your coaching journey under the guidance of a woman-matching learning facilitator.

Designed for coaches 16+ years of age who work with U18 competitive players (e.g. high school competitive programs, competitive junior programs) or adult developmental teams programs. The participants will understand learning styles and appropriate feedback through hands on activities. They will learn how to identify and correct common Ultimate errors, and how to lead drills for Ultimate.
