VUL Staffing Update

It is with a mixture of gratitude, sadness, and optimism that we announce a significant staffing change within the VUL over the next few months. Diane St-Denis has accepted a position with another organization and will be resigning as the Executive Director of the VUL as of March 22. Diane has been a fantastic presence with the VUL since joining our team in 2021. Among many other achievements in her time with us, she helped us navigate the challenges of our post-covid recovery, modernize our financial and governance structures, and upgrade our enterprise management system (most visible to our members in the VUL website). Diane will be sorely missed, but we are grateful for her time with us and happy for both her and her future colleagues.

With Diane's departure, we are fortunate to have Tristan Brown, our Adult Programs Manager, stepping into the interim role as Acting Executive Director. Tristan has been with the VUL in his current role since 2021 and has worked closely with Diane during his tenure. We thank Tristan for his willingness to take on the acting role as we seek to fill the ED position on a permanent basis.

The Board of Directors has formed an HR committee to oversee a robust hiring process. Details will be announced in the coming weeks and we will begin accepting applicants at that time. We look forward to hearing from a diverse group of candidates both within and beyond our membership and are eager to continue moving our community forward.
Hope to see you on the field!
