Ongoing Positions
Meet-up Hosts
Join our community of Event Hosts to coordinate fun meet-ups like disc golf, trivia night, and board game nights. Contact us to get involved.
Event Crew
We often need people to help run tournaments, parties and other events. Contact us to be on our 'first contact' list!
Field Monitor
When the weather is questionable in the fall & winter, Field Monitors help us check fields to see if they are playable. A stipend is provided. Contact us for more information.
Coaching Opportunities
There are multiple opportunities to coach and support players in Greater Vancouver.
Youth
Camp & Clinic Instructors
We offer multiple programs that ensure youth have fun while learning to play! These include week-long Day Camps in the summer and over Spring Break for ages 8-14, and 8-week Skills Series that run in all seasons (U14 and U19).
Experienced teaching youth is desired. Applications are accepted year-round. Contact us for more information or to apply.
Club Team Coaches
We run competitive club programs for high-school students: Misfit Ultimate in Vancouver, Vortex Ultimate in Surrey, Canyon Ultimate in the North Shore, and Reign Ultimate in Richmond.
We need dozens of coaches every year to prepare teams for Provincial and National Championships. Coaching experience is helpful, but each team has multiple coaches so new coaches are encouraged to apply, as well. Click here to learn more and to apply.
School Coaches
Ultimate is thriving in Vancouver schools. Most high schools have teams already, others are just starting, and elementary ultimate is growing fast. We help connect coaches with schools that need them. You don't need to be an elite player for all positions. The school leagues run from March to May, but you can apply at any time. Contact us for more information.
Adults
Mentors
The VUL Mentor Program helps new teams have a positive experience in their first few years in the VUL. They help teams with skills, strategies, rules, and spirit. If you'd like to share your knowledge and passion for ultimate, contact us for more information or to apply. Applications are accepted year-round.
Camp & Clinic Instructors
We run 2-hour Skills Clinics prior to every season, a 6-week Intermediate Bootcamp in the spring, and an 11-week Beginner Camp in the summer. If you'd like to teach ultimate to adults, contact us for more information or to apply.
Competitive Club Coaching
The VUL sponsors adult club teams every year. To contact teams directly, see the list of active clubs. For more general information about coaching opportunities with club teams, please contact us.
