Ultimate Day Volunteers

Our biggest event of the year is Saturday, April 29 and we're looking for helping hands for our bbq, trade-show, set up and take down. Volunteer shifts are ~ 4 hours, so you'll also get a chance to participate in some of the activities too! This is a fun way to get involved for anyone from high school students to veteran old-timers, and everyone in between!.Read more about Ultimate Day and email to get involved. 

Administrative Support

Youth Instructors & Coaches

We have multiple opportunities to teach ultimate to youth with our competitive club teams, recreational leagues, and fun camps. Share your knowledge with the next generation! Read more about all of the roles, or email our Youth Manager via for more information.

Field Monitor

When the weather is questionable in the Fall and Winter, Field Monitors help us check fields to see if they are playable. A stipend is provided. Email Troe via to apply.

Board Committees

The Board has a number of committees to help ensure the VUL is well run.

Strategic Planning

This committee supports the Board with strategic planning and advising the Board on long-term strategic direction. In 2017, the committee will focus on year 1 of our new Strategic Plan, including promoting the plan, clarifying metrics and targets for each objective, and presenting results at the AGM. To apply to join the committee, email


This committee supports the Board to improve governance practices. The committee provides guidance for Board operation, supports ongoing renewal with new candidates, facilitates Board self-evaluation, and encourages best practices for all Board obligations. To apply to join the committee, email


This committee supports the Board with HR activities of the VUL, mainly related to senior staff. Activities for 2017 include completing the transition of senior staff from contractors to employees, and identifying best practices for engaging people in the VUL.
