Software Developer / Product Manager

As the VUL continues to expand, we are looking for a full-stack Software Developer to help us maintain and grow our League Management System and website. This is a part-time employment role. Read more and apply ASAP. The position will remain posted until it's filled. VUL members will earn $250 if you refer someone who gets hired!

Tournament Directors

Do you love great tournaments? We're looking for people to help run our events! These include Misfit Cup (youth) on June 24-25, Babes & Hats on July 22-23, and Life's a Beach on Sept 4. These TD roles are paid positions. Email if you are interested.

Meetup Hosts

We’re looking to build a community of Event Hosts to coordinate fun meet-ups like disc golf, throwing clubs and board games nights. Read more and sign up for some great perks!

Youth Instructors & Coaches

Field Monitor

When the weather is questionable in the Fall and Winter, Field Monitors help us check fields to see if they are playable. A stipend is provided. Email Troe via to apply.

Board Committees

The Board has a number of committees to help ensure the VUL is well run.


This committee supports the Board to improve governance practices. The committee provides guidance for Board operation, supports ongoing renewal with new candidates, facilitates Board self-evaluation, and encourages best practices for all Board obligations. To apply to join the committee, email


This committee supports the Board with HR activities of the VUL, mainly related to senior staff. Activities for 2017 include completing the transition of senior staff from contractors to employees, creating a employee handbook, and identifying best practices for engaging people in the VUL. The committee is looking for someone with professional HR experience to support its goals this year. To apply, email

Strategic Planning

This committee supports the Board with strategic planning and advising the Board on long-term strategic direction. In 2017, the committee will focus on year 1 of our new Strategic Plan, including promoting the plan, clarifying metrics and targets for each objective, and presenting results at the AGM. To apply to join the committee, email
