Interim Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for executing on key operating activities of the VULS, including adult programs & services, facilities, finance and HR. Summer Youth Coordinators

We're hiring 1-2 coordinators to help run our youth programs over the summer. This is a perfect summer job for students, although anyone aged 18-30 is welcome to apply! Read more about the roleor email the Youth Programs Manager via youth@vul.ca to apply - ideally by May 31. 

Youth Instructors

Share your love of ultimate with others! We're looking for energetic and organized individuals to help deliver our Summer Youth Programs. Email youth@vul.ca with questions or to apply!

  • Camps: These are 9am-4pm over 6 weeks in July and early August. See the Camp job description
  • Skills Series: These are 2 hrs/week for 8-10 weeks. The job is otherwise the same as the Camp role.

Meetup Hosts

Join our community of Event Hosts to coordinate fun meet-ups like disc golf, trivia night, and board games nights. Read more and sign up for some great perks! 

Event Crew

We often need people to help run tournaments, parties and other events. Email volunteer@vul.ca be on our 'first contact' list! Read more on our volunteers page.

Field Monitor

When the weather is questionable in the fall & winter, Field Monitors help us check fields to see if they are playable. A stipend is provided. Email the League Manager via LM@vul.ca for more info.


Board Committees

The Board has a number of committees to help ensure the VUL is well run.

Governance

This committee supports the Board to improve governance practices. It provides guidance for Board operation, supports ongoing renewal with new candidates, facilitates Board self-evaluation, and encourages best practices for all Board activities. This committee is open to new members for 2021.

Strategic Planning

This committee supports the Board with strategic direction and planning, including monitoring progress on the current strategic plan. This committee is open to new members for 2021.

Finance

This committee supports the Board in providing financial oversight for the society. This includes budgeting and reporting, as well as policies, controls, and risk management. This committee is open to new members for 2021.

Human Resources

This committee supports the Board and ED with HR activities of the VUL. The committee is currently not looking for any new members.

Hall of Fame

This committee identifies candidates for our Hall of Fame. This committee is open to new members for 2021.
